Permabit Adds Microsoft Windows Version of Albireo Software Development Kit
OEMs can now leverage industry-leading deduplication technology to maximize data optimization in the Windows environment
CAMBRIDGE, Mass – Permabit Technology Corporation, the recognized leader in storage efficiency technologies, today launched a Windows-based version of its Albireo Software Development Kit (SDK) that allows service providers and hardware and software OEMs to quickly, easily and efficiently integrate storage optimization capabilities into their existing solutions without negatively impacting differentiating capabilities or reducing overall performance.
Permabit Albireo is being incorporated into OEM offerings from vendors including newly-announced data protection, cloud services, enterprise SAN and NAS, virtualization, and flash solutions. The introduction of a Windows version of Albireo greatly expands the market reach for OEMs looking to provide cross platform support to organizations regardless of operating environment. More specifically the new SDK version enables Windows-based OEMs to deploy inline, multiple petabyte, high performance deduplication in the industry’s lowest memory footprint.

Independent validation has demonstrated that Albireo offers 5-35X data reduction for general purpose environments through to virtual environments.
