Wideband GaAs MMIC Distributed Amp Die offers positive bias.
Press Release Summary:
Nov 30, 2012 - Intended for applications from DC to 20 GHz, CMD173 wideband GaAs MMIC (monolithic microwave integrated circuit) distributed amplifier die delivers greater than 15 dB gain with corresponding output 1 dB compression point of +18 dBm and noise figure of 1.5 dB at 8 GHz. All-positive bias design eliminates sequencing circuits while reducing complexity of board layout. Also, on-chip tracking circuits promote consistent performance over temperature and process variation.

20 GHz Distributed Amp Offers Positive Bias
Press release date: Nov 15, 2012
The CMD173 is an all-positive bias design, thus eliminating complicated and costly sequencing circuits while also simplifying board layout. In addition, the use of on-chip tracking circuits delivers consistent performance over temperature and process variation. The CMD173 is a 50 Ohm matched design that offers full passivation for increased reliability and moisture protection. The device does require off-chip bias networks, which is typical of this amplifier topology.
The CMD173 is suitable for microwave radio and VSAT, telecom infrastructure, test instrumentation, and military and space applications.
