Modular Welding Travel Carriage with Oscillation and Integrated Laser Guided Seam Tracker


Bug-O Systems announces the introduction of the Laser-Bug an ultra-compact sensor controlled welding travel carriage. The Laser-Bug is a 3-axis robot that uses a Laser Camera scanner to read and automatically position a MIG/MAG welding torch on a Butt or Fillet joint.

The whole system is approximately 20"L x 20"W x 11"H (508 mm x 508 mm x 279 mm) and weighs 41 lbs. (18.6 kg). The unit is programmable and can perform multi-pass multi-layer welds with automatic gap, weave and travel speed compensation. The sensor can track one side of the joint, or both sides.
