Cleveland, Ohio - The Lincoln Electric Company adds six new short-neck semiautomatic welding gun packages for MIG and gas-shielded cored wire arc welding. These 400 amp Magnum® guns are pre-assembled and fitted with all necessary components, including contact tip, gas diffuser, insulated gas nozzle, cable liner and appropriate gun connectors intended for use with many popular industrial wire feeders.

These guns feature the often-requested shortneck gun tubes (gooseneck) preferred by many operators for lighter weight and added maneuverability. The six new Magnum 400 gun packages join the full line of Lincoln's Magnum welding guns, which range from 100 to 600 amps.

Lincoln Magnum 400 amp guns are built for operator comfort when welding with the higher heat levels generated by higher amperage applications. Each is rated 400 amps at 40 percent duty cycle with CO2 shielding gas.

Each gun package is configured for use with .035" - .045" or .052" - 1/16" MIG or Outershield® (gas-shielded flux-cored) operations. These diameter ranges account for approximately 80 percent to 90 percent of common welding applications for 3/8 inch or less thick material. The new Magnum 400 packages are configured with a 15-foot gun cable and outfitted with a choice of three gun connectors for compatibility with common wire feeders.

While other companies in the industry may produce only guns, as a full-line welding manufacturer, Lincoln designs, tests and re-tests the performance of every component in an arc welding system to optimize welding performance in industrial environments. Lincoln is one of the only gun manufacturers in the world that delivers welding equipment, welding electrode, application expertise, parts and service and from a single, focused team.

Lincoln's complete array of Magnum guns feature a patent-pending handle grip with non-slip grooves designed to minimize size and maximize comfort and control. The well-balanced handle reduces operator fatigue and offers a sure, confident grip.

The guns also boast a rotating gooseneck (gun tube) that aids operator comfort and proper positioning for hard-to-reach welding applications. In addition, the standard gun hangers can be rotated for customized storage solutions.

The hardy construction of Magnum guns is evident in their three-layer insulated gooseneck design. The guns also have durable abrasion-resistant gun cable outer jackets and proprietary wound steel liners.

Field service is made easy with quick-change gooseneck screw-on (not crimped) gun cable connections, spare trigger leads and a one-piece modular trigger assembly. Customers can also customize their gun later with a range of nozzles, tips and interchangeable gooseneck styles. And, all Magnum gun consumables match an industry-standard design.

The Lincoln Electric Company, headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, is the world leader in the design, development and manufacture of arc welding products, robotic arc-welding systems, plasma and oxyfuel cutting equipment and has a leading global position in the brazing and soldering alloys market.
