Waxes optimize processing of recycled polymers.

Press Release Summary:

With Ceranovus™ Waxes, plastics reprocessors can maximize melt flow and throughput, lower energy consumption via reduced extruder amperage draw, and decrease backpressure and equipment wear. Because waxes are made from plastic raw materials, they can blend with type of plastic being recycled. Products are made from up to 100% recycled feedstock and do not negatively affect recycle content of polymer. Supplied in pastilles or granule form, Ceranovus Waxes come in 45 lb bags and supersacks.

GreenMantra(TM) Technologies Introduces Ceranovus(TM) Waxes for Improved Processing of Recycled Polymers

BRANTFORD, Ontario,  --GreenMantra Technologies, a rapidly growing producer of high-value waxes from recycled plastics, is introducing to the plastics reprocessing industry its line of Ceranovus waxes specifically designed to improve the processing of recycled polymers as well as end product performance.

Ceranovus waxes can help plastics reprocessors increase melt flow and throughput, lower energy consumption via reduced extruder amperage draw, and decrease backpressure and equipment wear.

GreenMantra, through its unique and patented technology, synthesizes Ceranovus wax from up to 100 percent recycled waste plastic materials. Even hard-to-recycle plastics such as agricultural films and consumer bags can be used as raw material feedstock.

Plastics recyclers can use Ceranovus wax in their production process to enhance efficiency and end product performance. Because the waxes are made from plastic raw materials, they can blend easily with the type of plastic being recycled. In fact, GreenMantra can custom-produce wax using a recycler's specific plastic material as a feedstock, ensuring a seamless blend.

Ceranovus waxes are made from up to 100 percent recycled feedstock and do not negatively affect the recycle content of the polymer, as would traditional virgin wax produced from oil or other fossil fuels. In addition, the waxes are cost-effective in virtually any recycled plastics processing application.

Recent commercial trials and third-party laboratory results demonstrate that Ceranovus wax can provide benefits including:

Energy savings of up to 10 percent through reduction in the amperage draw of the extruder screw;
Up to 30 percent improvement in production throughput;
Increased melt flow values, and percent elongation in the reprocessed polymer, without impacting other technical specifications;
Lower overall processing costs of the recycled plastic.
Ceranovus wax is available in pastilles or granule form. Packaging is available in 45-pound bags and supersacks.
