Original Press Release:

OilTrap Environmental Inc. Wash Water Treatment for the Marine Industry

OilTrap Environmental Inc., manufacturer of the revolutionary ElectroPulse electrocoagulation (EC) green wash water treatment system, has introduced the new generation EL5 MINI EC wash water treatment system specifically designed for treating wash water generated from washing ships, boats and all other water-craft with anti-fouling paint and other debris. The EP5 is designed with the customer in mind using minimal set up and almost no maintenance. Essentially "Plug and Go", the EP5 is the most efficient, cost-effective and innovative wash water treatment system. With systems operating in nearly every US state, OilTrap Environmental has proven to be the cost-effective solution to any water treatment needs.

The ElectroPulse system is designed with portability in mind for ease of relocating the system as necessary for any specific need. The treatment process is fully automatic, eliminating daily maintenance and does not require the use of messy filters or harsh chemicals. The economically priced ElectroPulse system uses electrocoagulation, an electrical-based technology for treating wash water economically and on-site. The process is fully automated and very effective at removing emulsified oil & grease, suspended solids to sub-micron levels, oxidation and removal of suspended and dissolved heavy metals from water. Heavy metals are then reduced to a hydroxide, allowing sludge that is separated through the ElectroPulse treatment process, to pass a TCLP (Toxic Characteristic Leaching Procedure) test which significantly reduces the cost of sludge disposal.

Wash water treated by the ElectroPulse system is of much higher quality than mechanical filtration or bioremediation and can be recycled or safely discharged to sanitary sewer.

OilTrap Environmental, which has been manufacturing electrocoagulation water treatment systems since 1993, provides not only highly effective green technology but a total solution approach through system design to meet your specific needs and requirements. OilTrap Environmental offers a FREE waste stream feasibility study using a representative sample of wastewater from your facility.
