Voltage-Controlled Oscillator uses internal SAW resonator.

Press Release Summary:

Surface-mount M650 Series uses high Q resonator, operating at fundamental frequency of end unit, to provide low-jitter frequency translation in telecommunications applications. Oscillator has 3.3 V operation, output frequencies from 155 to 900 MHz, and ground plane for added phase noise performance, with -93dBc/Hz@1KHz offset typical. Applications include clock smoothing, frequency translation, and clock and data retiming.

Original Press Release:

New M650 Series Voltage Controlled SAW Oscillator Provides low jitter for Clock Smoothing and Frequency Translation

Worcester, Mass. Micro Networks Corporation is pleased to announce the release of the M650 Series Voltage Controlled SAW Oscillator designed and developed specifically for Clock Smoothing and Frequency Translation applications in Telecommunications.

The M650 Series VCO utilizes a SAW resonator internally, which provides superior jitter performance over a 0 to 70 degree temperature range. The resonator is a high Q device that operates at the fundamental frequency of the end unit, thus enabling this kind of performance.

Other features/benefits include:
* 3.3V operation
* Output frequencies from 155 MHz to 900 MHz
* 9 x 14 mm low profile true surface mount ceramic package
* Ground plane for added phase noise performance (-93dBc/Hz @ 1KHz offset typical) Some typical applications are: Clock Smoothing, Frequency Translation and
Clock and Data Retiming.
