Vacuum UV Spectrometer offers choice of diffraction gratings.

Press Release Summary:

For vacuum UV, Model 234/302 accommodates Aluminum Magnesium Fluoride coated grating suited for work from 100–200 nm. Lower groove density Aluminum coated grating is optimized for non-vacuum UV-Vis region, while platinum coated grating is intended for use at wavelengths shorter than 120 nm (greater than 10eV). Various gratings extend optimization of 200 mm focal length spectrometer over 30–550 nm wavelength range. Model 234/302 also features CCD detectors, adjustable slits, and f/4.5.

Vacuum Spectrometers

New diffraction gratings improve reflective efficiency and wavelength range.

McPherson’s vacuum ultraviolet spectrometer, Model 234/302, is now available with improved efficiency over a wider range. Two new diffraction gratings are available. For the vacuum ultraviolet, the Aluminum Magnesium Fluoride coated grating is ideal for work from 100 to 200 nanometers. The new lower groove density Aluminum coated grating works best through non-vacuum UV-Vis region. These join the Platinum coated grating ideal for use at wavelengths shorter than 120 nanometers (>10eV.)

The various gratings extend the optimization of the 200mm focal length spectrometer over the 30 to 550 nanometer wavelength range. In combination with CCD detectors, adjustable slits, and f/4.5, the McPherson Model 234/302 provides efficient, sensitive data collection. It is useful for measurements of extreme, vacuum ultraviolet and UV-Vis radiation and emission spectra with sub-nanometer spectral resolution. Adjustable slit width provides for best light throughput and for better spectral resolution to resolve closely spaced spectral lines. Scanning gratings allow users to reach longer or shorter wavelengths and means to collect different simultaneous wavelength swaths for general purpose spectroscopy, plasma physics, and process monitoring without compromising resolution or signal strength.

Furnished with spectral calibration certificate, the McPherson spectrometer is available with standard light sources, detectors, reflective condenser optics, and vacuum differential sections. McPherson’s application specialists are available to help assure the ultraviolet spectrometer is ready for implementation in your specific application.
