Formech Vacuum Forming Machines Upgrade Model 686 to Save Time and Energy Energy Efficient Technology to be Displayed at Upcoming Pack Expo
CHICAGO - Formech has always designed and built user friendly vacuum forming machines that incorporate the latest technologies. Consistent with this ethos, we recently introduced our new 686 model with cost and energy saving quartz heating elements and a state of the art Programmable Logic Control (PLC) with memory function for the operation of the machine. The combination of the PLC with the touch screen made the machine operation simplicity itself.
Having produced the 686, and like machines, for many years with a manual table lever lift, we have now replaced this with a pneumatic table cylinder lift. Martin Smith, Head Industrial Designer at Formech states, “This dynamic change on the 686 makes things even easier for the operator. Moreover, the table up and down speed can also be adjusted for more demanding jobs where the speed of the table is critical.”
This improvement should really be attributed to the success of the power table on Formech’s 1372 model. As improvements go, this fundamental change will further reduce the 686's already very compact footprint.
