Waterbased Patching Material Replaces Conventional Epoxy/Urethane Kits With One Coat Application
(CLEVELAND - July 14, 2003) New from Sherwin-Williams Industrial and Marine Coatings group is ARMORSEAL® ExpressPatch Fast Dry Urethane Patch Kit, a low odor, waterbased patching material that makes quick work of concrete repair with one coat application. Ideal for patching concrete, epoxy mortar systems and urethane cement flooring systems, ARMORSEAL ExpressPatch also may be applied over brick.
ARMORSEAL ExpressPatch is suitable for use in USDA inspected facilities, making it ideal for use in a broad range of food and beverage processing facilities and commercial kitchens. It is designed to protect concrete from thermal shock, impact, corrosion, chemical attack and abrasion while offering return to service in as little as four hours.
ARMORSEAL ExpressPatch offers no out-gassing at high film thickness, which improves appearance and eliminates film voids. It may be applied directly to damp concrete using a flat trowel at a minimum thickness of 3/16-in. to ¼-in. The two part binder resin and aggregate may be applied to a minimum 45°F slab and will withstand service temperatures up to 225°F at ¼-in. and 300°F at 3/8-in. No primer is required.
