Tregaskiss' Patent-Pending Low-Stress Robotic (LSR) Unicables
Ontario. March 16, 2009-To extend the life of thru-arm robotic MIG gun unicables and to minimize downtime, Tregaskiss now offers its TOUGH GUN(TM) LSR (Low-Stress Robotic) Unicable technology. The LSR Unicable includes a rotating power connection that relieves stress caused by routine cable torsion and it also features a protective conduit to shield the cable components from harsh welding environments.
Compared to conventional-style unicables, the LSR Unicable has been engineered to withstand the endless wrist rotations and subsequent torsional stress of robotic welding, lessening the frequency of cable changeover and reducing the associated downtime. The LSR Unicable comes standard with TOUGH GUN ThruArm(TM) Series Robotic MIG Guns, which Tregaskiss offers for a variety of thru-arm arc welding robots, including those by Fanuc, OTC Daihen, ABB and Motoman. Backed by a 2 year limited warranty, the LSR Unicable is also available separately for replacement should it become worn, and it can be installed on thru-arm robots featuring other select brands of air-cooled robotic guns.
