Controlotron Announces Introduction of Non-Intrusive Clamp-On Ultrasonic Natural and Process Gas Flowmeters
High accuracy non-intrusive measurement of Natural and Process Gas Mass and Volumetric flow rate is now available using Controlotron's patented Wide Beam Clamp-on Ultrasonic flowmeter technology. 1010GC models are available for both Field Installation, without stopping flow or cutting pipe, or in the form of pre-calibrated 1010GCS Clamp-On Spools. Accuracy better than 0.05% has been achieved by this technology on various petroleum products using the API Proving method.
The system is available for pipes from 1 1/2 to 48-inch pipe diameters and for pressures over 7 atmospheres. Operation on local gas plastic distribution lines is permissible for pressures down to atmospheric. All meters are compatible with Controlotron's 1010LDV Leak Detection and Pipeline Management System.
Also available is a non-intrusive Portable 1010GP model suitable for checking the calibration of previously installed Turbine and PD meters and for general survey purposes.
