PMA® GP Support Clamps Support Coarse- and Fine-Profile Conduit with One SKU
MEMPHIS, Tenn., – Thomas & Betts (T&B) has upgraded its line of PMA® GP two-part support clamps to be compatible with both coarse- and fine-profile conduit, enabling a reduction of inventory to one stock-keeping unit (SKU).
The upgraded PMA® GP two-part support clamps feature a singe rib that makes brackets compatible with both coarse- and fine-profile conduit, enabling a reduction of inventory to only one bracket for both conduit profiles.
“PMA® GP two-part support clamps are designed for use in rail vehicles and vehicles with particularly demanding requirements,” said Ralph Donati, product marketing director at T&B. “The clamps are also ideally suited for use in wind turbines and other special-purpose machinery. The upgrade to one model supporting both coarse- and fine-profile conduit will reduce inventory costs for operations that support these vehicles.”
Other benefits of the upgraded PMA® GP two-part support clamps include simplified assembly, with locating pins to lightly hold the two halves in position, and the ability for the conduit to turn within the bracket, avoiding torsion and allowing for a longer service life.
Additional features include a compact design that enables arrangement into space-saving blocks and dimensions that are identical to those of previous models, enabling direct replacements to be easily accomplished.
