Tianma NLT USA Announces LCDs from Tianma Micro-Electronics that Achieve 847 PPI in True 4k2k Smartphone and 8k4k Tablet Displays

Ultra-high resolution and performance in 5.2” and 10.4” models

CHINO, CA – Tianma NLT USA has announced two new displays introduced by Tianma Micro-electronics Co. that achieve ground-breaking pixel pitch performance of 847 PPI.  The new 5.2” and 10.4” units, with real 4K2K and 8K4K resolution, bring never-before-seen performance and clarity to popular smartphone and tablet display sizes.  Tianma is currently exhibiting the demonstration units at Display Week 2016, Booth 905, San Francisco, California, May 24-26.

Tianma based the new 5.2” 4K2K and 10.4” 8K4K displays on LTPS (Low Temperature PolySilicon) construction, and achieved the sharp picture quality and 1200:1 (5.2”) contrast ratio by the use of negative liquid crystal technology.  With the ultra-high resolution and performance of the 5.2” and 10.4” displays, these products are well placed to spearhead display innovations in applications such as smartphone, tablet, 3D, holographic technology, medical products, and even military.

“Currently, the top performing displays can reach around 600 PPI, or even 700 PPI,” said Lu Do, Director of Marketing, Tianma NLT USA.  “We’ve pushed the boundaries of design and process limitations in TFT, CF material, and cell processes to achieve 847 PPI.”

Tianma NLT USA expects this new 4K2K/8K4K technology to be commercially available by the middle of 2016. For more information, contact Tianma NLT USA, Inc., 13949 Central Ave., Chino, CA 91710. 909-590-5833. info@tianma.com; usa.tianma.com.
