New GLPX Extreme Rim Blaster Cleans Truck Rims Quickly, Powerfully


HUDSON, OHIO, January 15, 2002 - Designed specifically for the truck rim refurbishing market, the GLPX Extreme rim b1aster from Great Lakes Powder & Finishing Equipment cleans steel or aluminum truck rims quickly and professionally.

This heavy-duty system uses .170 to .330 mm steel shot to directly blast away dirt, grease, oil, stones, and other road elements for new looking rims ready for further restoration. An elevator system cleans out old particulate to keep the shot clean with each cycle, increasing efficiency and quality. The GLPX will totally remove 100% of powder coatings on 95% of rims. It is capable of cleaning rims up to 26.5" in diameter. With cycle times of 1.5 to 5 minutes depending on the thickness of powder coatings that need to be removed, technicians can clean approximately 130 rims per an eight-hour shift.
