Thick Film Heating Elements

ECAE Division of Heatron, Inc. is introducing a wide range of thick film heating solutions. Thick film heating elements are ideal for an application where space is limited, high reliability is required and conventional heaters cannot be used.

Thick film heating elements from the broad ECAE/HEATRON product line offer high watt density (up to 175 watts/in²), high operating temperatures (up to 500°C) and fast ramp-up to operating temperature. Substrate choices include: Ceramic insulated steel (Max. temp. 350°C), Ceramic insulated stainless steel (Max. temp. 500°C), Ceramic insulated aluminum (Max. temp. 250°C), Alumina (Ceramic) (Max. temp. 500°C), or Alumina Nitride (Ceramic) (Max. temp. 300°C). Large sizes and unique shapes can be designed with even heat distribution or unique thermal designs to meet demanding application requirements. Integrated power connection terminals in a wide range of styles are available to suit any OEM needs.

ECA Electronics, (ECAE), based in Erie, Pennsylvania and now a division of well-known Heatron, Inc., was the first US Company to manufacture thick film heating elements. ECAE has produced and shipped over 150 million thick film circuits for various applications since 1982. Heatron, Inc. acquired ECAE in May 1992.
