ENENSYS Technologies Introduces RF Modeler Fading and Multipath Echo Generator for DVB-T and DVB-H Applications



RFModeler product release: a DVB-H and DVB-H modulator - UHF and VHF output - with 100% mastered echoes, fading and noise generation capabilities (DVB Product ID: 3873).

Fully in line with its TV on Mobile transmission products portfolio, ENENSYS Technologies unveils a powerful DVB-T and DVB-H terrestrial modulator able to:
modulate the Transport Stream in DVB-T and DVB-H modes merge a clean broadcast quality signal with a mastered level of WHITE NOISE, overlap terrestrial signal with MULTIPATH ECHOES and set each FADING's level.

RF Modeler outputs a signal having the spectral density required by people who design, develop, test and manufacture DVB-T or DVB-H receiving applications. RFModeler enables in-house reproduction of SFN networks, addressing the problematic issues brought by multi path echoes of in-door and out-door signal reception and their fading consequences (Rayleigh and Ricean perturbation schemes are preset, but any other channel propagation paths can be configured).

RFModeler also offers to RF engineers the full command over the C/N ratio values of the DVB-H signal received by an application under test...

Coming on side of these features are a couple of special test modes like null symbol insertion, cancellation of central carriers, internal generation of input TS.

When noise and echoed signal generation functionalities are disabled, RF Modeler plays the role of a high end broadcast quality DVB-T or DVB-H modulator with RF output in the VHF or UHF band (agile filtered). It handles 5, 6, 7 and 8MHz bandwidth, 2k, 4k and 8k FFT size, TPS signalization, hierarchical mode... and can synchronize either directly from data input source, or from external 10MHz clock source. RF Modeler supports any kind of ASI input (burst or continuous), performing bit rate adaptation and PCR restamping.

Finally, RFModeler comes with the famous USB2.0 input option that equips ENENSYS range of terrestrial modulators. The so-called USB2ASI feature enables a straightforward USB connection of RFModeler with a PC or a laptop and is delivered with its mate MPEG2 stream player application.
