Hazardous Location LED Light Fixture with Magnetic Mount Released by Larson Electronics

Larson Electronics announces the release of a magnetically mounted Class 1 Division 2 hazardous location LED light fixture designed for use as a temporary lighting solution for those applications that do not require permanently mounted fixtures.

The HALP-48-2L-LED-M-12C-E2E hazardous location light fixture from Larson Electronics is a four foot two lamp LED light fixture that is equipped with four 200 pound grip magnets and provides daisy chain capabilities to allow end-to-end connectivity throughout the work space. This Class 1 Division 2 rated fixture is constructed of non-corrosive materials including a polyester housing reinforced with glass fiber, a poured in gasket for reliable sealing and an impact resistant acrylic diffuser. Eight corrosion resistant plastic latches secure the lamp cover to the housing and provide a firm lock against the poured in seal to prevent drips and water intrusion. This four foot long, two lamp magnetic mount LED light fixture is ideal for operators seeking a top quality hazardous location light that will reduce operating costs, improve light quality, and reduce down time incurred from frequent servicing intervals.

This fixture comes standard with two 28 watt LED lamps that are LEL listed, providing 125 lumens per watt for a total of 3,500 lumens per lamp. These lamps produce 30% more illumination than standard T8 bulbs, offering lower amp draw and increased reliability while providing 50,000 hours of service life. The solid state design of the LED lamps give this fixture superior resistance to damage from vibration, extremes in temperature and a lamp service life over twice that of standard fluorescent bulbs. These fixtures operate on current ranging from 120 to 277 volts AC for high voltage, as well as 11 to 25 volts AC/DC for low voltage operation. This temporary mounted LED light is equipped with 12’ of 16/3 chemical and abrasion resistant SOOW cable on the input side, fitted with an industrial grade cord cap for easy connection to common wall outlets. The output side is equipped with 3’ of 16/3 SOOW cable terminated in a female matching connector.

“This new hazardous location fixture was designed to provide operators with a portable lighting solution with all the benefits of a permanently mounted class rated fixture,” said Rob Bresnahan with Larsonelectronics.com. “This fixture is ideal for marine, wet, damp locations where corrosion resistance lights are required and can be used in petrochemical facilities, lubrication pits, oil rigs, processing plants, and marine loading docks.”
