Temperature Charge Pressure Sensors used in gas turbine applications

Press Release Summary:

Available in 176A03 and 176A05 models, Temperature Charge Pressure Sensors are used in combustion instability monitoring of power generation and aviation gas turbines. Eliminating need for vent, units featires UHT-12 crystal technology and prevents pyroelectric noise spikes up to 1200°F. Delivering consistent sensitivity through wide temperature change, products retain oxygen levels inside unit.

Original Press Release:

Two Very High/Extreme Temperature Charge Pressure Sensors with UHT-12â„¢ Element Introduced by IMI Sensors

Designed for Gas Turbine Applications and Other Very High Temperature Environments

IMI Sensors, manufacturer of industrial vibration and pressure monitoring instrumentation, announced the release of Models 176A03 and 176A05, very high/extreme temperature differential charge pressure sensors with a UHT-12™ sensing element. IMI has developed these sensors to be used in the combustion instability monitoring of power generation and aviation gas turbines.

  • The new UHT-12™ crystal technology features:

  • Absence of pyroelectric noise spikes up to 1200 °F (649 °C).

  • Sensitivity that remains more consistent over a wide temperature change.

No depletion of oxygen at high temperatures, eliminating the need for a vent or window in the housing.

IMI offers various differential charge amplifiers to support the launch of Models 176A03 and 176A05, including Models 421A3X, EX682A40 and 422M182.
