Swaged Cartridge Heaters


Durex Industries, Cary, Illinois, offers swaged cartridge heaters for high-temperature (up to 1500°F) applications. The alloy sheath of the heater is swaged for maximum compaction at high-watt densities and efficient heating element operations. Sheath diameter is sized for a precision fit into drilled holes, providing maximum heat transfer. Heater diameters are available in metric as well as English sizes. A wide variety of lead configuration designs are available, including stainless steel braid and stainless steel armor for additional protection in hostile environments. Lead configurations can also be adapted to 90-degree angles to accommodate applications with space restrictions. These heaters are also available with UL and CUL component recognition and can be modified for liquid immersion.
