New Thomas Research Products 480V Surge Protector in 2015 Progress Report
Elgin, Illinois – Thomas Research Products' recently introduced FSP3-480-20kA is included in the 2015 IES Progress Report. The Surge Protector protects LED luminaires on 480V circuits from surges up to 20,000 amps. Thomas Research Products manufacturers SSL power solutions.
The FSP3-480-20kA offers this new level of protection in the same size as the company's 277V model because of new components. In-line fusing shuts down the luminaire when the capabilities of the surge protector have been exceeded. An LED indicator on the device also shows that it is functioning to protect the luminaire. These features provide advanced luminaire protection and make it easier for maintenance crews to diagnose issues.
