Convenient DIN-Rail Mounted Surge Receptacle Added to Leviton Power Quality Line
Little Neck, NY, January 14, 2002 - The Power Quality Division of Leviton Manufacturing has introduced a new Surge Protection Receptacle Module designed to mount on DIN rails in equipment cabinets. The 3880-DIN is perfect where convenient, plug-in transient voltage surge suppression is desired for cord-connected test equipment and portable computers. Cat. No. 3880-DIN employs Hospital Grade Receptacles to ensure fail-safe electrical connections of equipment in critical environments.
Built for use on 120V single-phase AC power sources, the surge protection module provides MOV-based Normal Mode and Common Mode protection. The UL 1449 Suppressed Voltage Rating (SVR) is 400 vclts peak L-N, L-G and N-G. The device comes with a green protection LED, which goes off when surge protection is lost, and an audible alarm with integral quiet switch that can be disabled. In the event of protection loss, power continues to be provided to connected loads. Cat. No. 3880-DIN is UL Recognized, CSA and NOM Certified, and meets TVSS 1449 2nd Edition standards.
