Original Press Release:

Model 407 Stereo Phono Preamp

TDL® Technology, Inc. announces their Model 407, Stereo Phono Preamp especially designed to drive a sound card's line-input for restoring 78 RPM records which were recorded using various equalizations. A variety of response curves can be set with the two rotary switches; one for turnover frequency and the other for rolloff frequency. A table of response settings for different record labels is included in the User Guide. The preamp uses low-noise opamps and features very low output noise and very low power line hum pickup. The internal rechargeable batteries provide complete isolation from the power mains and the cast aluminum enclosure minimizes the pickup of unwanted interference. Although 78 RPM records are "mono", a better signal to noise ratio can usually be achieved by copying them in stereo and then combining the channels after "cleanup". Single quantity price is $237.00 USD plus shipping. Availability is stock to four weeks. A full data sheet and User Guide in PDF format can be downloaded from our web site at zianet.com/tdl.
