Static Mixer offers concave mixing elements.

Press Release Summary:

Kenics® KMX static mixer's concave elements promote cross-stream flow. Each element is approximately 1 pipe diameter in length, and consists of multiple intersecting blades, which generate fluid layers as mixture flows downstream. Features include ASME-certified design and fabrication, diameters up to 24 in., no moving parts, and no external power or regular maintenance. Sheets of low viscosity additives are driven along each blade's trough.

Kenics® KMX Static Mixer Offers Advanced Concave Mixing Elements For Superior Performance

Dayton, OH, USA, December 12, 2001 - For some of the most demanding mixing applications, such as the blending of fluids having widely disparate viscosities or volume ratios, the concave surfaces of the Kenics KMX mixing element promote more cross-stream flow than flat blade designs.

Each element is approximately one pipe diameter in length and consists of multiple intersecting blades, which generate fluid layers as the mixture flows downstream. Sheets of low viscosity additives are driven along the trough of each blade and abruptly sheared by strong cross-stream velocity gradients as they pass around the upstream surface.

Key design features of the Kenics KMX Static Mixer include the following:

* Superior mixing performance per unit length
* Proprietary concave element design
o ASME-certified design and fabrication
* Standard diameters up to 24"
* No moving parts
* No external power or regular maintenance required
