Adhesives Research, Inc. Introduces ARcLad® 9030
Splicing Tape for Low-Energy Surface Substrates

GLEN ROCK, Pa. (October 3, 2001) - Adhesives Research, Inc., a leading developer and manufacturer of high-performance, specialty pressure-sensitive adhesive products, introduces ARclad® 9030, an orange double-faced tape designed for splicing low-energy surface substrates.

ARclad® 9030 features superior adhesion and quick tack properties for splicing low-energy surface substrates such as polyethylenes, polypropylenes, high-slip films and other difficult-to-adhere-to surface substrates. It allows for faster line speeds when performing flying splices and it may be used for zero speed; overlap splicing, core starting and roll finishing splicing applications.

From a safety standpoint, ARclad(® 9030 is "tearable," so no knife is needed, making application of ARclad® 9030 safe and convenient for operators. The highly visible orange color allows operators to clearly identify splices during applications.

Adhesives Research's complete line of ARclad® high-performance splicing tapes has been developed for splicing applications in the flexible packaging, converting, laminating, extrusion and metallizing industries. ARclad® splicing tapes offer quick
tack and consistent caliper and require no mess or clean-up, no solvents or costly equipment for application. Technical expertise and years of experience also enable Adhesives Research to develop custom pressure-sensitive splicing solutions for
customers in need of a specialized product to meet critical splicing needs.

The Splicing Business Unit offers two unique customer service programs to its splicing customers: ARclad® Direct and ServicePLUS. ARclad® Direct provides significant benefits to customers when working directly with Adhesives Research.
