New PIC Design Speed Reducers Offer the Best of Both Worlds - Small Size and High Torque

PIC Design is recognized as a pioneer in the development of precision gear products including its newly introduced line of precision speed reducers. This offering consists of two product series - the HHB Series with its crossed helical gear design and the HWB Series incorporating a worm and wheel gear design. These single reduction models span a broad range of reduction ratios from 1:1 to 60:1. Torque outputs range upward to 77 lb-inches. The smallest size is less than 1_ cubed and all incorporate the unique ability to accommodate inch or metric bores via interchangeable shafting.

These new PIC Design Speed Reducers are characterized by an extremely favorable overall size to high output torque ratio. Backlash is as low as 45 minutes in some models and never exceeds 1...in others. Input speeds as high as 6,000 RPM can be accommodated. Right angle input drive to output takeoffs are standard in all models.

The anodized aluminum construction of these new products can best be described as simple and elegant. Weight is kept to a minimum and life expectancy is high. The company maintains a large inventory and many models can be shipped directly from stock. Unit pricing ranges between $162 and $248 depending on style and size.
