Wrightsville, PA – John Wright's new special purpose hinge pintle (item: 88-522) adds to its extensive line of traditional shutter hardware. The special purpose pintle installs on wood or masonry to provide a secure mounting location for numerous John Wright shutter hinges. It is ideal for brick or blocks because it moves the screws away from the edge to greatly reduce the possibility of cracking. The reversible design can be mounted on the left or right side of windows and provides 1.5 inches of offset. Cast iron construction with a steel hinge pin for durability. For convenience and versatility, screws and plastic anchors are included. The special purpose pintle works fluently with John Wright's many existing shutter and window accessories to enhance the historic look and feel of nearly any home.
