Asheville, NC – Palmer Instruments, Inc. announces the addition of a new solar powered digital industrial thermometer to its line of industrial temperature measurement solutions. Ideal for those who prefer the readability of a digital thermometer, the Palmer Solar Digital Industrial has a ½” high LCD screen. Powered by a built in solar cell, batteries never need replacing and even a flashlight is enough to power this unit. Models are available in designs used to replace Bimetal type thermometers, traditional type Industrial thermometers with a tapered bulb and 1 ¼ -18 swivel nut fitting, and for Air Duct temperature measurement. This easy-to-read model is completely mercury free for safe installation in a variety of environments. Models with 4-20 mA transmitter capability for connection to a remotely installed controller or recorder are also available. The adjustable angle fitting rotates a full 180°, allowing this thermometer to be installed at the best possible viewing angle for your area. Matching thermowells are Made in the USA, for easy insertion into a process are also available.
