Emerson's AMS(TM) Suite Delivers Improved Vibration Analysis and Infrared Thermography for Rotating Machinery

New version of AMS Suite: Machinery Health(TM) Manager software speeds analysis and helps users increase plant availability

KNOXVILLE, TENN (July 9, 2007) - Emerson Process Management announces the release of version 5.0 of the AMS Suite: Machinery Health(TM) Manager software. The new version provides users of CSI vibration data collectors with continuous online monitoring and infrared thermography technology featuring a new asset-centric interface for easy navigation and more new and upgraded functions.

New time-saving features allow users to analyze more equipment in less time, permitting more time to focus on prevention of an unexpected or unplanned outage. Users can now quickly identify a specific machine for evaluation and then decide what database tools to use for analysis, plotting, and reporting.

The new version will benefit every current user of the CSI technologies, making it easier than ever to analyze and communicate data retrieved from the field. Flexibility is a key aspect of the new software, enabling users to customize each module to fit their own preferences within the Windows environment. Screens can be arranged as desired, and reports can be printed as needed or communicated on the web.

The software's new Machine History Viewer is an Internet Explorer browser-based application that provides personnel with a graphical display of machine health from literally any location having access to the Internet. The Viewer allows consultation with experts throughout the enterprise, encouraging teamwork between facilities. Machinery details can be directly accessed from the AMS Asset Portal making information conveniently available to anyone in the facility.

The new Data Transfer Module is a communications package that consolidates data communication into a single application, replacing several programs that were used in previous versions. The Data Transfer Module enables distributed data collection by allowing users to electronically transmit vibration routes and data from one location to another in instances when the full AMS Machinery Manager version is not available.

Other new or upgraded features include:
o An advanced vibration plotting and analysis module
o New infrared software for improved IR image management
o Support for integrated route-based infrared camera
o New CSI 2130 Machinery Health Analyzer report program
o New CSI 4500 Machinery Health Monitor data plotting and analysis
o USB security key support
o Multiple monitor support
