VoiceSignal Launches VSuite 2.0 One-Step 'No Training' Speech Recognition Solution for Series 60 Platform
WOBURN, Mass., Jan. 19 -- VoiceSignal, the leading provider of speech solutions for mobile devices, today launched VSuite 2.0, a speech recognition application, for the Nokia 6682 Series 60 phone.
VSuite 2.0 is the only speech recognition solution available on the market today that allows users to complete dialing, message addressing, contact lookup, application launching in one step without requiring any user training. This application is now available with the Nokia 6682 on an in-box MMC card.
VoiceSignal's VSuite 2.0 solution includes the one-step, "no training" voice dialing, contact lookup, digit dialing, text message addressing and application launching solution. The no training voice dialing solution allows users to dial any name or number stored in their phonebook, regardless of the number of names by simply saying "Call" and the "name and the location" (home, work or mobile). The VoiceSignal digit dialing application allows users to use their voice to dial any number, not only those already entered in the device's phonebook, just by speaking the numbers. With the VoiceSignal solution, users will also be able to access and launch popular Series 60 handset applications with a simple "Open (application)" command. Thus, users can say, "Open Messages" or "Open Calendar" and be taken directly to that application on the phone without having to search for these applications in the phones menu.
By combining speech recognition, audio and visual prompts and text-to- speech confirmation, the VoiceSignal solution lets users control dialing features without having to look at the phone. This makes it possible for users to initiate, verify and complete a call without having to use their hands or look at the display, making it easier, safer and more enjoyable for consumers to use their device.
