Flagship product from TransMagic integrates Spatial 3D Components for cost-effective CAD model healing, repair and interoperability

WESTMINSTER, CO, July 9, 2002 - TransMagic, Inc., a new company in the CAD industry, today launched its flagship software product, TransMagic(tm), which offers high-quality CAD data repair, healing, translation and viewing at low cost.

TransMagic is a Windows-based application that has been developed using 3D interoperability components from Spatial Corp. and Tech Soft America. TransMagic allows engineers and designers to quickly open, heal, repair, translate and view 3D solid and surface data from diverse CAD/CAM/CAE systems, in a single application. The product handles 3D CAD data in CATIA®, Pro/ENGINEER®, SAT®, Parasolid, IGES, STEP® and HSF formats, enables viewing, visualization and rotation of the data, and provides a feature-rich set of tools for healing, repair and translation of the data.

"My vision was to build an easy-to-use product that cuts manufacturing time and costs in the first day and doesn't take years to get a return on investment," stated Reade, TransMagic's president and founder. "The implementation of mature component technology developed by some of the strongest companies in the industry has given TransMagic an edge in time-to-market. This ensures we can continue to deliver high-quality, leading-edge products at a reasonable cost."

Reade has more than 20 years experience in sales and marketing in high-tech industries, with the last 13 years in the CAD industry.

TransMagic is already in early use by customers across the United States, and is being eagerly adopted as a cost-effective option for data translation. "Thank you, TransMagic, for reducing our translation cost by 80 percent and reducing the average turnaround time for data translation from two days to 30 minutes," commented Paul Parsons of BRC Rubber and Plastics, a new TransMagic user.
