Software integrates chromatography data.

Press Release Summary:

Built for enterprise applications, Atlas CDS(TM) v8.1 provides single solution that not only integrates data streams from multiple instruments manufactured by multiple vendors, but also integrates with LIMS that store summary results for each analysis. Tight integration with LIMS enables users to access critical data when faced with decision where QA/QC source data is needed immediately. Program can also import Beckman PeakPro(TM) and ThruPut Target(TM) data files natively.

Original Press Release:

Thermo Exhibits Award-Winning Chromatography Data System at ACHEMA 2006

Philadelphia, PA (May 15, 2006) - Thermo Electron Corporation, the leading provider of analytical instruments and informatics worldwide, will demonstrate enhancements made to Atlas CDS(TM), winner of a 2005 Product of the Year Award for chromatography data systems*. Thermo's exhibit can be found on booth B1-C12, Hall 6.1 at ACHEMA 2006, May 15-19, Frankfurt, Germany.

Following a major stability release with version 8.0 in June 2005, Atlas 8.1 includes major improvements to the instrument control architecture to enhance network resilience. A key focus of the release was to ensure secure, robust communication between the instrument and Atlas software. Atlas now has the ability to import Beckman PeakPro(TM) and ThruPut Target(TM) data files natively. Enhancements have also been made to the instrument control and spectral functionality in the system.

Atlas is built for enterprise applications, providing a single solution that not only integrates data streams from multiple instruments manufactured by multiple vendors, but also tightly integrates with LIMS that typically store summary results for each analysis. Tight integration between the LIMS and CDS enables users to access critical data when faced with a decision where the QA/QC source data is needed immediately. The robust enhancements and interoperability with Thermo's LIMS are designed for consistent reporting and shared data that increases productivity.

Atlas joins purpose-built LIMS solutions in Thermo's market-leading informatics portfolio.
Thermo is best known for its enterprise LIMS solution, SampleManager(TM), a leading solution for industrial process labs, and Watson LIMS(TM), the solution most used in bioanalytical laboratories. Thermo addresses the pharmaceutical market, in particular, with a suite of solutions, including Darwin LIMS(TM) for pharmaceutical manufacturing R&D and quality control; Watson; Galileo LIMS(TM) for high throughput in vitro ADME/Tox research; Nautilus LIMS(TM) for research organizations, particularly in biotech; and the Enterprise Pharmacology Series and Kinetica PKPD database solutions. Thermo also provides the award-winning GRAMS desktop spectroscopy software.

In addition to its informatics solutions, Thermo will be exhibiting a wide range of industry leading analytical instrumentation, software and services at Booth B1-C12, Hall 6.1, at ACHEMA, May 15-19 2006 in Frankfurt, Germany.
