ntegration of Splunk Professional With CA's Unicenter NSM Helps Enterprises Streamline Troubleshooting of Complex Data Center Problems
SAN FRANCISCO, May 1 / -- Splunk (www.splunk.com), creators of the first search engine for fast moving IT data, today introduced and made available an integrated module that provides seamless workflow and data integration between CA's systems management product, Unicenter Network and Systems Management (Unicenter NSM) and Splunk Professional-Splunk for Unicenter NSM.
"Today's service oriented architectures are extremely challenging to manage-even for the most skilled and efficient IT staffs," said Melvin Estrada, business and product manager for CA. "By providing customers with increased visibility into the data generated by CA's Unicenter NSM, Splunk enables IT support personnel to quickly pinpoint and respond to potential problems before they adversely impact critical business processes."
Splunk Professional indexes and links together all the IT data generated by any system, application or device making it possible to search and navigate production IT infrastructures. Unicenter NSM r11 unifies and simplifies management of complex, multi-vendor environments and enables organizations to cost-effectively ensure the health, performance, and responsiveness of business critical IT services.
Splunk for Unicenter NSM enables administrators to search an up-to-the-minute index of Unicenter NSM events, along with other network or system events, in real-time. The combination can dramatically improve service availability and operations efficiency by reducing the mean-time-to-repair (MTTR), especially for more complex problems.
