Solutions for Fast and Unerring Assembly to Debut at SMT 2005

High-speed, continuous screen printing in the lead-free era will be the focus of DEK's presence at SMT 2005 in Nuremberg, Germany. DEK sees the Internet as a key tool in delivering information and services to support these objectives, and will be displaying its latest Internet platforms at its exhibition booth.

The company will also showcase its latest printing platforms for SMT applications, including the Europa as well as the new Horizon variants that also integrate the new Instinctiv user interface for at-a-glance interpretation of complex process information and rapid, on-board recovery.

Michael Brianda, general manager of DEK GmbH, said, "As European electronic manufacturing adapts to working with lead-free materials, accessing information and eliminating errors are just as important to productivity as cycle time savings. We will not only bring our latest technological solutions to SMT 05, but will be introducing some interesting new developments in service tools to accurately predict machine maintenance long into the future."

In addition to the latest, Instinctiv-equipped machines, DEK will be demonstrating VectorGuard(TM) versions of all its stencil technologies, including PumpPrint(TM) stencils and new electroformed stencils, as well as stainless steel laser cut stencils. VectorGuard stencils are easy and safe to use on the factory floor, store conveniently in a space-efficient filing system, and are easily disassembled at end of life for low environmental impact and maximum recyclability. By bringing these benefits to each stencil technology in common use, DEK is giving its customers the power to choose the optimum frame technologies for their applications, cost and turnaround requirements, or environmental policies.

Güler Basol, the new Product Manager for DEK's European Distributed Products (Consumables) division, will also present DEK's new regionalised strategy for its consumables business. Basol, whose appointment was announced in December, will be explaining how the new structure enables customers to satisfy specific product requirements most quickly and easily when regional product sets are available.

Visitors can see all of these important events and products at the DEK booth, no. 7-307, at the SMT Hybrid Packaging Exhibition and Conference, Messezentrum Nuernberg, from April 19-21, 2005.
