At NPE, Elastocon to Introduce Soft TPE with Super Scratch and Mar Resistance Plus Dust and Debris Resistance

New Addition to Elastocon 8000 TPE Series Does Just That, and More

ROCHESTER, IL - A brand new TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) that offers product designers and marketers a host of features and benefits with a degree of softness plus considerable scratch and mar resistance, is now available from Elastocon TPE Technologies. Typical applications might include, but are not limited to, automotive products and non-automotive transportation products such as cup holders and storage tray bins, farm equipment, marine products, lawn and garden tools and many other consumer or industrial products.

Elastocon will be at booth/stand # 57021 in the TPE Pavilion in the North Hall.

This latest addition to the Elastocon 8000 series of multi-purpose TPEs also gives products both shock and sound deadening qualities, if desired.

Of possible interest to TPE users is that this 80 Shore A hardness Elastocon 8078NL grade also has a reduced coefficient of friction that results in a surface which minimizes collecting dust and debris, a decided benefit for a storage compartment or tray bin in a car, truck or recreational vehicle. Further, the Elastocon TPE stands up well in use, keeping the product looking new with its improved scratch and mar resistance properties.

This latest product offering is but one grade in the Elastocon 8000 TPE general purpose series, with other grades offering many other desirable features and benefits. Elastocon also offers a 2800 Series of performance TPEs, the SMR Series of TPOs, the STK Series for overmolding, and alloys, all of which can be injection molded, extruded, blow molded or compounded. Elastocon thermoplastic elastomers do not require drying and are offered for applications that require rubber-like properties, impact resistance, colorability, a good surface finish, easy processability, reduced material usage and numerous other features and benefits. All Elastocon grades are free from latex, and are RoHS and California Proposition 65 compliant, with many of the company offerings being FDA compliant, as well as UL and NSF approvable, and are suitable for medical applications. Elastocon can provide ISO reporting for manufacturing and shipping. All grades are reclaimable and recyclable.
