Cartridge Fuse for Use in Cooking Appliances According to UL 197
SHT series 6.3 x 32 mm Fuse Provides Breaking Capacity up to 3500 A @ 250 VAC & 1500 A @ 500 VAC
SCHURTER offers a robust, compact and costeffective cartridge fuse with increased breaking capacity and voltage ratings. The high breaking capacity up to 3500 A at a nominal voltage of 250 VAC meets standards for commercial electric cooking appliances according to UL 197, while the 1500 A at 500 VAC is suited for a broad range of industrial 1- and 3- phase systems such as photovoltaic systems and frequency converters for industrial automation. The fuse is also rated for DC applications up to 400 V.
The SHT 6.3x32 can be installed as a replaceable fuse using board level or panel mount open or closed fuseholders. Examples are SCHURTER clips/blocks series CQP, OG-Clip, OGD and closed fuseholders series FEU FUS, FEC, FUL, FUA and FUP; it is also compatible with standard industry fuseholders. The SHT 6.3 x 32 Pigtail provides axial leads for through-hole PCB mounting.
The SHT series is Time-Lag “T” according to UL 248-14 and carries cURus approval. Pricing for the fuse without leads is about $0.54 at 100 pieces and. It is supplied in packs of 10. Other fuses with similar ratings are known to be bigger in size, e.g. 10.3x38, and therefore more space consuming and costly.
