Shrink Fit Tooling Available with the BIG PLUS Spindle Interface
A new BIG PLUS simultaneous dual contact Shrink Fit tool holder line is now offered exclusively by BIG Kaiser Precision Tooling, Inc. Shrink Fit tool holders offer high clamping forces, low runout, and a small nose diameter to reduce clearance issues.
BIG Kaiser manufactures these holders to the highest standards with the highest quality materials. This enables us to guarantee exceptional runout, without sacrificing clamping force. Available in inch sizes from ¼" to 1" in CAT40 and ½" to 1.25" in CAT50 tapers.
Simultaneous spindle and flange contact greatly enhances rigidity and repeatability, which yields many benefits in higher metal removal rates, higher accuracy, improved surface finish, and extended tool life. It will also minimize vibration to prevent fretting corrosion; eliminate axial movement during high speed operation; and resist cutter deflection, improving accuracy and finish.
BIG PLUS dual contact assures the highest precision location of the tool holder in the spindle when using Automatic Tool Change (ATC) for loading tools, positioning the tool holder within 1 micron (0.00004") for repeatability.
