Original Press Release:

Cutting Edge WiFi Technology Improves TRITON Sewer Cameras

The TRITON heavy duty sewer camera product line was recently enhanced by adding a long awaited  wifi connectivity feature. The DVR (imaging hub) of the camera serves as the source of a wifi network allowing those within the connection range to view live inspections on their portable devices. In addition to high quality crisp and clear live image, the specially developed application permits to capture images, save and replay them, and even e-mail saved files directly from the app. The application is fully compatible with various Apple products (iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch) as well as with Android based devices including tablets and smartphones. This application has a really easy interface along with high quality image rendering. Image distortions or freezing are practically excluded. With the help of this highly useful feature not only the sewer camera operator, but his teammates, customers, and other interested parties will be able to follow and document the inspection as well as to exchange the files. Of course, just as before, a user can record their inspection directly to a USB stick in the superb quality H.264 format because the system imaging hub has a USB input.

TRITON sewer cameras are Canadian made heavy duty systems designed for delivering the best results even in very unfavourable inspection environments such as underwater inspections or inspections in pipes full of debris. The systems boast waterproof cameras (up to 6 bars in fresh water depending on the model), Kevlar braided high durability push rods, built-in 512Hz beacon, and on-screen footage counter, to name just a few features. The premium spiral wound push cable is particularly worth mentioning since it distinguishes TRITON systems from competitors and greatly increases the life of the push rod. The sewer cameras come in cable lengths from 200' to 400' (or 60 to 120 meters), while camera heads range in diameter from 7/8'' to 1.68'' (22.2 to 42.67 mm). The camera heads are fully repairable, and they can be replaced as needed without the necessity to repair, disassemble or send for servicing the rest of the inspection system.

TRITON sewer cameras are known for their reliability, longevity, and affordable pricing. Now the wifi connectivity feature places these systems among and above the most advanced pieces of equipment of that kind. Other configuration options include a locator compatible with the 512Hz beacon, and camera skids to help navigate and center the camera head within the pipe.
