Compact Digital Servo Drive Optimized For Use With Linear Motors

Camarillo, California...Advanced Motion Controls announces the availability of its DR100EE25A20NAC. This fully digital drive is optimal for use with linear motors because it is capable of encoder based sinusoidal commutation of linear servomotors, with or without Hall sensors. The 20kHz digital current loop utilizes Space Vector Modulation (SVM) switching techniques that result in higher current loop bandwidth, which is often necessary in high precision, high-speed linear motor applications. In addition, drive configuration and tuning can be accomplished through a graphical, intuitive; Windows based utility using the serial RS232/485 communication port. The various digital and analog inputs and outputs can be assigned user-selectable functions. Extensive drive protection and error detection are also fully programmable. This switching technique also provides lower heat dissipation. This unit accepts a supply voltage of
up to 120 VAC and can output currents of up to 25A. The built-in shunt regulator and resistor have a programmable turn-on voltage. Brushless rotary motors can also be controlled with this drive.
