New +GF+ SIGNET Magnetostrictive Level Sensors Offer Intelligent-Based Design in Slim Tube

TUSTIN, Calif. - Nov. 5, 2001 - George Fischer, Inc. introduces the intelligently designed +GF+ SIGNET 2222 Magnetostrictive Level Sensor which offers simple, accurate and reliable continuous level measurement in a sleek and slim body design.

Ideally suited for level measurement of non-coating liquids such as water, acids, bases and corrosive chemicals, the 2222 is available in either a 316SS or SYGEF® PVDF body. The 5/8-inch
NEMA 6/IP68 tube, which houses the wiring and sensor electronics, eliminates bulky enclosures typically found at the top of other sensors. The "float" design operates on the simple and reliable principle of buoyancy, yet the microprocessor-based technology of the 2222 delivers an accuracy of ±0.1% of full scale and a resolution of 0.01 inches.

The 2222 also features either a 4 to 20mA output or SIGNET's new S3L(TM) (SIGNET Sensor Serial Link) Technology which enables quick and easy connection to the +GF+ SIGNET 8250 ProcessPro(TM) Level Transmitter and future developments in instrumentation. The 2222 series is available in lengths of up to 16 feet to meet a diverse range of application requirements. And for easy installation, the 2222 also features a 3/4-inch NPT connection.
