Jenton Launch New 'Jenton Autotester' Seal Tester @ Pro2Pac, STAND C40
Continuing their wholesale redevelopment program of the "Ariana" product range which started with the BCS range of convergers for thermoformed pack matrices, Hampshire based Jenton International announced the launch of their new range of Seal Testers, the Jenton Autotester at Pro2Pac 2009.
During a recent survey of meat factories carried out by WRAP, 11% of meat packs were found to have leaking seals. The Jenton Autotester tests every pack and only rejects those with leaks. Seal testing has the potential to reduce waste by eliminating product recalls, and as all packs are tested on line, rejected packs can be re-worked allowing for hugely reduced loss of product.
The Jenton-Ariana test system subjects each pack to the longest possible test time in order to identify and reject the smallest possible seal defects. Available in various multi-lane and row configurations, to suit any standard gas-flush thermoformer where packs contain headspace. Operator control is via the intuitive colour touch-screen display ensuring minimum setup and downtime.
Controlled Atmosphere Packaging (CAP) of fresh produce has extended the shelf-life of many perishable products. The Jenton Autotester Seal Tester/Converger has been developed as an effective method of warranting such shelf-life by detecting leaking packs at source and allowing product removal and repacking.
