Scaffold Lifting Rig comes in underhung trolley configurations.

Press Release Summary:

When job site access constraints preclude use of cranes, telescoping boom lifts, or fork lifts, Safway Systems™ Scaffold can be configured to lift center load of up to 3,750 lb and off-center load of up to 1,875 lb. This is enabled by adding Safway System Bearer/Runner, Truss Bearer, or I-beam. For lifting and horizontal movement, configuration can include header beams and underhung trolley I-beam between them. Product meets seismic qualification tests of Class 1E equipment.

Safway Offers Systems(TM) Scaffold Lifting Rig Guide Options Now Include Configurations for Underhung Trolleys

WAUKESHA, Wis. – When job site access constraints preclude the use of cranes, telescoping boom lifts or fork lifts, the newly updated Systems™ Scaffold Lifting Rig & Underhung Trolleys Guide from Safway Group shows how scaffold may be configured to lift a center load of up to 3,750 lbs. and an off-center load of up to 1,875 lbs.

Configuration involves adding a Safway System Bearer/Runner, Truss Bearer or Safway-provided I-beam to standard Systems Scaffold. For lifting and horizontal movement, Systems Scaffold can be configured with header beams and an underhung trolley I-beam between them. Depending on the length, size and configuration of the beams, a trolley I-beam can support loads of 1,250 to 10,000 lbs. Trolley I-beams are available in lengths from 5 to 10 ft. The guide, publication ORN 208, is available as a downloadable PDF at Safway.com/literature.

“When workers in power generation, petrochemical and processing facilities need to lift pipes, flanges and other components that are too heavy to move manually, a scaffold-based lifting rig and trolley can provide a safe, reliable solution,” says Darrell Domokos, Director of National Equipment Sales, Safway.

Domokos notes that Safway Systems™ Scaffold has passed all seismic qualification tests of Class 1E equipment and is in full compliance with the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Std 344. A video of portions of the actual seismic testing is available, as is a full report.
