Cepoint Networks, LLC is now shipping its WS500™, a ruggedized IP65-rated panel PC series for medical, pharmaceutical, and chemical laboratory applications with tight system integration and minimal space requirements. Environmentally sealed to comply with NEMA 4/IP65 specifications preventing moisture, dust, and dirt from getting into it, the WS500 ruggedized panel PCs also comply with HIPPA and IEC 6100 for power quality and are designed to meet standards for RF emissions. Cepoint designed the fault-resilient systems to prevent electrical and electromagnetically induced or radiated interference from degrading their performance when electronic and electrical systems are in close proximity and confined spaces.

With front bezels of re-enforced aluminum, WS500 ruggedized panel PCs are compliant with FCC part15B and CE EMC Directive-2004/108/EC and built to withstand 1.0G vibration and 15GS of shock. They feature 12, 15 and 19 inch touch-screen TFT Color Panel displays powered by 1.8GHZ Intel® Atom-based single board computers supporting dual gigabit ethernet, VGA, DVI, and audio port I/O connectivity options and Linux, Windows XPE, CE 6.0, WES7, and Windows 7 operating systems. Cepoint configures the WS500 ruggedized panel PCs with 2GB of systems memory, six USB 2.0 and two RS-232 serial channels and optional SATA drive and compact flash SSD.Â
