John Deer 72-Inch 7-Iron(TM) V-Flex Mower Deck Levels Mowing Field

With seven-gauge steel - thicker than any other deck in the industry - no welds and increased airflow, the John Deere 72-Inch 7-Iron(TM) V-Flex Mower Deck answers professional landscapers' demand for a rotary mowing deck that provides superior performance on flat and uneven terrain. Designed with hinges for superior cut quality on hillsides and rough landscapes, the 72-Inch 7-Iron V-Flex Mower Deck is available for use with the 1445, 1545 and 1565 front mowers. An addition to the durable 7-Iron family, the V-Flex Mower Deck features a three-part, hinged deck with a vertical belt drive system, which allows the deck to articulate 20 degrees above and below center. The patented design decreases the chance of scalping turf and allows belts to stay clean while preventing them from stretching and twisting. For height-of-cut options, the V-Flex Mower Deck can be fit with either a rear wheel or rear roller kit. The rear wheel kit offers 1- to 5-in. heights while the rear roller kit offers 1- to 4-in. heights, both adjustable in ¼-in. increments. For easy serviceability, the V-Flex Mower Deck includes a rotate-for-service 45 degree deck tilt. The John Deere V-Flex Mower Deck has two attachment points and will fit the John Deere 1445, 1545 and 1565 front mowers. These CARB-certified mowers are equipped with rear-mounted radiators, dual-element air cleaners, full-pressure lubrication and 55-amp alternators. The 31-hp, diesel 1445 front mower has a high-torque engine that provides better fuel economy, quieter operation, low exhaust emission levels and quicker starting. Hydraulic PTO allows gradual engagement, making for smoother operation. Additionally, lower rpms allow for quieter operation. The 14.5-gal. fuel tank allows for all-day mowing, increasing productivity for the operator. Equipped with plenty of torque for tough mowing conditions, the John Deere 1545 and John Deere 1565 Front Mowers are powered by 31-hp and 36-hp Yanmar diesel engines, respectively. They're also equipped with a Kanzaki hydrostatic transmission and dual-speed transaxle with forward mowing speeds of up to 8.5 miles per hour. Both feature a dual-element air filter with an air restriction indicator to let the operator know when service is required. Full-pressure lubrication protects the engines even with continuous operation on slopes and hillsides. Standard equipment includes a self-bleeding fuel system for restarting the engine, even when it runs out of fuel, and a 14.5-gallon fuel tank sufficient for all-day mowing.
