DE-STA-CO's CAMCO® Ring Index Drives Ideal for Automated Machinery Applications

Auburn Hills, Michigan, November 21, 2008 - Designed to meet customers' exacting requirements, DESTA-CO's family of innovative CAMCO® Ring Index Drives features dramatically larger through-holes to accommodate a variety of automated machinery and equipment, including electrical wiring and air or hydraulic lines.

By increasing the size of the through-holes, users can locate equipment in the center, making the outer periphery of automated machinery available for operator accessibility and additional auxiliary equipment.

Additionally, the new index ring drives allow machine builders to have a larger number of workstations for the assembly of more complex products.

The product family includes Model 1100RNG, which features a 1.0-meter nominal diameter ring; Model 1550RNG, with a 1.5-meter nominal diameter ring and new models 750RNG (.75-meter diameter) and 2000RNG (2.0-meter diameter).

Additional features of the CAMCO index ring drives include:

o Easy-to-tool dial ring: attach fixtures directly to the dial ring, eliminating the need for an additional dial plate

o Dial Ring can be removed for machining to mount tooling and fixtures

o Superior accuracy, similar to a precision link conveyor - the work station is located over the cam for maximum accuracy

o Direct shaft-mounted motorized drive package with reducer and brake-motor combinations to suit any application

o Precision ground cam with preloaded cam followers for maximum accuracy

o Durable cast steel housing and standard base options

o Preloaded "center rib" design for smooth acceleration and deceleration with precision positioning
