Bomar's V-Bite(TM) "F" Connector Now Provides Excellent Return Loss Above 2.3 GHz
Ledgewood, NJ, January 21, 2002...The newest enhancement to Bomar Interconnect Products' proprietary line of V-Bite(TM) RF edgeboard connectors is a true 75-ohm "F" Type boasting up to -40.3 dB return loss at 2.3 GHz. The five-member V-Bite family, which also includes Twin BNC, Panel Mount BNC, standard BNC, and TNC versions, is expressly engineered for unparalleled signal integrity in RF applications. Every connector is uniquely designed to snap and lock into place for secure PCB retention during hand or reflow soldering, and is supported both above and below the board to minimize stress on the solder area. Accordingly, they provide the utmost in anti-rotation abilities, flexibility, reliability, and stability.
The small footprint, low-profile (1/2 the connectors' diameter) family is ideally suited for RF designs in which board space is limited, and is therefore appropriate to specify in a broad range of HDTV, MATV, CCTV and GPS applications. It is most commonly put to use on PCBs in video, audio, and data networking equipment, as well as in test equipment and security systems.
While each V-Bite is manufactured of machined brass, and employs a straight-through contact design to ensure extremely low reflection factors, the newly enhanced "F" Type features a beryllium copper contact and accepts RG59 or RG6 cables. Every style meets all industry standards, and comes standard with Teflon insulators to facilitate reflow soldering. Further, V-Bite edgeboard connectors, including the new "F" Type, may be ordered in various frequencies.
