New Torch Now Available for Hypertherm Powermax1100

Hanover, NH, USA - Hypertherm, Inc. has announced the release of the new RT80 torch incorporating Coaxial-assist and improved contact-start technologies designed specifically for the Powermax1100. The RT80 is an 80-amp retrofit torch that will bring today's improved cutting performance and extended consumable life to customers using the original Powermax1100 plasma arc cutting system.

Based on the proven design of the Hypertherm T80 torch for the Powermax1250 G3 Series, the new RT80 torch delivers cutting speeds 24% faster than the original PAC135T torch on ¾-inch mild steel. Coaxial-assist allows the RT80 to reach cut speeds up to 107% faster than competitive designs. It achieves consumable life 173% longer than the original Powermax1100 torch and utilizes the same consumables as the Powermax1250.

Available in both manual and mechanized versions, the new RT80 brings OEMs and job shops using the Powermax1100 the kind of product reliability, performance and operator comfort that are Hypertherm hallmarks. Patented HyLife electrodes last up to 10 times longer than in ordinary torches.

The RT80 lead assembly features Hypertherm's quick-disconnect feature that's fully compatible with the Powermax1100. Existing Powermax1100 systems are easily converted. The torch and lead assembly carry a full one-year warranty.
