Acudor FW-5015: Fire Rated Recessed for Drywall
Acudor Products is proud to announce the FW-5015, a recessed access door with a fire rating. The FW-5015 is the only fire-rated drywall access door available on the market and comes with drywall installed in the door panel. The Acudor FW-5015 is designed for installation in drywall walls requiring concealing of the door panel consistent to the surrounding walls. The Acudor FW-5015 is approved by Underwriter's Laboratories (UL) for 1-1/2 hours "B" label in walls. Designed to maintain continuity in a 2 hour fire barrier wall, the FW-5015 should be used whenever it is necessary to provide access in fire rated drywall walls, where it is required to conceal the door panel. For use in walls, fire-rated for up to 90-minutes with a temperature rise of max 250 degrees C (450 degrees F) over 30 minutes. Standard sizes include 12”x12”, 16”x16”, 18”x18”, 24”x24”, and 24”x36”. Special sizes are available upon request.
The FW-5015 door panel is 22 gauge Steel recessed and fitted with 5/8” thick drywall, suitable to accept a skim coat finish on site. The door frame is also 22 gauge steel which is press bent for strength and rigidity. Pre-punched flanges provide convenient mounting which accepts a skim coat finish on one side. There is a concealed hinge and a self-latching bolt which is operated by a flush key.
