New Intermec EasyCoder F4 Printer Delivers Industrial Printing in a Compact Size
Ideal for harsh environments where space is at a premium
EVERETT, Wash., Sept. 19, 2002 - Intermec Technologies Corp. today introduced the EasyCoder(R) F4 Compact Industrial printer, the latest in its popular EasyCoder family of bar code label and tag printers. The F4 Compact Industrial builds on the most popular features of the F4 series; now the same compact footprint is available in a rugged design built to withstand the harshest working environments.
The F4 Compact Industrial, available in direct thermal or thermal transfer models, has heavy-duty metal hinges and a media hanger with the ability to handle full eight-inch label rolls. It runs on a 32-bit RISC processor and prints eight inches per second with exceptional print quality and extremely fast first-label-out print speed.
The printer is designed to be used in harsh environments where space is at a premium. It is fully programmable for use with or without a personal computer. Because it does not require a PC to run it, it saves valuable space as well as IT resources. Intermec's FingerPrint(TM) printer programming language allows the F4 Compact Industrial to easily adapt to existing systems without reinvesting time and money and to interface and control devices like scales, conveyors and other industrial devices.
The F4 Compact Industrial can be networked easily with the addition of an EasyLAN 100i network interface card, which provides a high-speed multi-channel interface that enables remote printer management and full bi-directional communication.
The F4 Compact Industrial is designed with operator ease of use in mind. It features an open web path for quick loading of media, and the Magnet QuickMount printhead requires no tools and no technician for replacement. There also is a back-lit LCD display for easy viewing.
