Press Control requires no NC programming.

Press Release Summary:

Optifeed-C system controls roll feed, provides digital synchronization between start time and main drive of press, and maximizes number of strokes of press line. Predefined and selectable functions include automatic feed adaptation, start-point displacement, programmable switch cam group, and setpoint output for coil processing. Only inputs required are process specific inputs, including length, speed and number of parts.

Bosch Rexroth's OPTIFEED-C Drive and Control System Increases Press Productivity

Bosch Rexroth's new Indramat OPTIFEED-C system is a prefigured, flexible drive and control system that requires no NC programming.

Designed to control roll feed and provide digital synchronization between the start time and the main drive of a press, the new control system improves press productivity by maximizing the number of strokes of the press line.

The Rexroth Indramat OPTIFEED-C features a number of predefined and fully selectable functions, including automatic feed adaptation, start-point displacement related to the number of strokes, programmable switch cam group and setpoint output for coil processing. The only inputs required by the control system are process specific inputs, including length, speed and number of parts. The system's firmware contains 99 production programs, each with up to 10 single-part lengths. As many as 999 repetitions with tool selection and feed rate can be selected per single-part length.

OPTIFEED is scalable in both single-axis and multi-axis versions and uses universal, open standards. The system solution includes control, rotary and linear servo drives and frequency converter drives rated from 1 to 600 kW, as well as remote-control-compatible operator control and visualization units. In addition to the standard OPTIFEED- C, Bosch Rexroth also offers a fully programmable OPTIFEED-F for special applications.

Bosch Rexroth, a merger of Bosch Automation Technology and Rexroth, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Robert Bosch GmbH.
